The Apollo Theater Foundation Inc a nonprofit dedicated to preserving and developing the theater was established in 1991and to ensure its longevity the Apollo. It was closed in 1965.

Today where 100 years ago a cat and dog went paw to claw with a lobster the legendary Apollo Theater presents concerts performing arts and educational and community outreach programs.
